IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT VOTING IN THE GENERAL PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION
AUGUST 10, 2010
On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, we will be conducting the General Primary Runoff Election. This election will include a Democratic and Republican Primary Runoff Ballot. Sample Ballots are attached.
VOTERS MUST VOTE THE SAME PARTY FOR THE RUNOFF ELECTION AS FOLLOWS
For the runoff election, voters will be permitted to vote as follows:
- Those voters who voted Democratic in the General Primary election on July 20, 2010 will be issued a Democratic ballot for the Primary Runoff election.
- Those voters who voted Republican in the General Primary election on July 20, 2010 will be issued a Republican ballot for the Primary Runoff election.
- If a voter did not vote in the General Primary Election on July 20, 2010 or if the voter cast a Nonpartisan Ballot, s/he may vote in either party’s Primary Runoff Election.
EARLY VOTING BY MAIL FOR THE PRIMARY RUNOFF
Voters may request an absentee ballot by mail up through Friday, August 6, 2010.
IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING FOR THE PRIMARY RUNOFF
In-person Absentee Voting is expected to begin on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 and end on Friday, August 6, 2010 as follows:
August 3, 2010 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
August 4, 2010 – August 6, 2010 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
